Anatrack Ltd is a spin-out from the United Kingdom Natural Environment Research Council's Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH). Founded in 2000, its primary purpose is to develop and market ecological software, with a particular interest in specialist GIS software for recording spatial data of individually-marked animals and modelling animal populations in relation to changing land-use. Its Ranges8 suite, originally developed in CEH in the 1980s, is an international standard for data from radio-tagged animals.

The 4 staff of Anatrack have 3 doctorates in Environmental Sciences, with some 60 years of research experience over a wide range of topics. Based in Dorset, they are deeply committed to science-based conservation that uses new technologies to integrate local-level results for decision making at all levels from policy-making to field applications. Professor Robert Kenward is Science Supervisor for TESS, which was conceived through his work with partners Anatrack, CEH, ESUSG and Tero
